Newhall Hart baseball Coach Jim Ozella might deserve a consultant’s fee after all the trades this week involving ex-Hart pitchers.

James Shields (Hart class of 2000) was traded from Tampa Bay to the Kansas City Royals on Sunday night, and one of the players Tampa Bay is getting from the Royals is ex-Hart pitcher Mike Montgomery (class of 2008).

Then on Tuesday, former Hart pitcher Trevor Bauer, who played on the same team as Montgomery before leaving Hart after the 2008 season to head to UCLA, was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Cleveland Indians.

That’s three former Hart pitchers involved in major-league trades in three days.

‘Everybody loves our guys,’ Ozella said.
