Girls’ basketball: L.A. Windward holds off Chaminade, 56-53

Despite opening a 20-point lead in the first half, L.A. Windward survived a powerful rally by West Hills Chaminade to defeat the Eagles, 56-53, in the Palisades tournament on Thursday night.

Kristen Simon had 23 rebounds and Jordin Canada scored 15 points for Windward.
