Football: Steven Mitchell scores on 63-yard reception

A short pass to Steven Mitchell was turned into a 63-yard touchdown, and Alemany has rallied to take a 21-17 lead over Mater Dei with 1:02 left in the first half.

Brandon Boyd's interception on the Alemany 35 halted a Mater Dei drive. Mitchell, bound for USC, turned on the speed and no one could catch him.

The Monarchs also were called for a penalty to wipe out a 71-yard kickoff return by Jonathan Lockett.
