Football: State receiving record belongs to Drew Wolitarsky

Receiver Drew Wolitarsky of Canyon Country Canyon erased former Taft standout Steve Smith from the state record book, becoming the all-time leading receiver on Friday during the Cowboys’ 42-9 Northern Division win over San Luis Obispo.

Wolitarsky caught nine passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns, giving him 277 receptions in his career. The old mark was 271 catches.
