_C011794Gardena Serra has held on to upset West Hills Chaminade, 30-28, in the Western Division championship game.

Chaminade pulled to within two points on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Brad Kaaya to Elijah Dunston with 58 seconds left, but fourth-seeded Serra got the ball back after an onside kick and the Cavaliers ran out the clock.

It is Serra's third title in four seasons and the Cavaliers are likely to continue their season next week in the CIF Division II regional playoffs.
