Football: Da'Mari Scott lifts L.A. Cathedral

L.A. Cathedral (9-2) has reached the quarterfinals of the Northern Division playoffs, and a big reason is Da'Mari Scott.

He twice caught touchdown passes on fourth down last week in a 28-23 victory over Santa Barbara.

"He's a one-man wrecking crew," Coach Kevin Pearson said. "He's so physical. He took over the game. I've never seen a guy as physical as him on offense."

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior is also playing defensive back.

Cathedral will face a severe challenge on Friday at home from Camarillo, known for its passing attack.
