When West Adams defeated Crenshaw last season for the first time, it brought attention to the coaching job of Russell Shaw.
Shaw wasn’t invited back and ended up at Compton Centennial, where on Friday night, his team stunned No. 3-seeded Pasadena La Salle, 12-10, in a first-round game of the Northwest Division playoffs.
La Salle came in at 10-0. Centennial was 3-7.
