Football: Chaminade wins Mission League behind Terrell Newby

Running back Terrell Newby of West Hills Chaminade didn't score eight touchdowns like he did against Harvard-Westlake, but six touchdowns in the first half wasn't bad in leading the Eagles to a 62-26 victory over L.A. Cathedral and the Mission League championship.

Donovan Lee added touchdown runs of 53 and 43 yards.

Chaminade (9-1) should be the No. 2 seed in the Western Division behind unbeaten Lompoc (10-0) when pairings are released Sunday afternoon.
