Football: Banning’s Sty Hairston rushes for 484 yards

The best individual performance from Friday night’s playoff games belongs to 5-foot-11 senior quarterback Sty Hairston of Banning.

In a Southern Section East Valley Division quarterfinal game against Temecula Linfield Christian, Hairston rushed for 484 yards and scored six touchdowns in 15 carries, then added a seventh touchdown with a reception, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

He had touchdown runs of 71, 22, 85 and 45 yards in the first quarter.

He had 423 yards rushing and seven touchdowns two weeks ago against Rim of the World.
