Long Beach Poly is the preseason No. 1 team in the Cal-Hi Sports state rankings.

St. John Bosco is No. 5, Mater Dei No. 6, Etiwanda No. 8, Alemany No. 11 and Loyola No. 12.

The top City Section team is El Camino Real at No. 21.
