Boys’ basketball: Bryan Alberts scores 27 points in season opener

Junior guard Bryan Alberts began his season on Tuesday with a 27-point performance as Sun Valley Village Christian defeated North Torrance, 81-42.

Alberts helped Village Christian win the state Division V championship last season as a sophomore when the team went 32-3.

Bijon Isles had 16 points for Village Christian.
