Valencia West Ranch will host a four-team baseball tournament on Friday and Saturday that will include Harvard-Westlake, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and Simi Valley. If the players haven’t eaten too much turkey on Thanksgiving, it should be a good one.

On Friday, West Ranch plays Harvard-Westlake at 9:30 a.m., followed by Simi Valley-Notre Dame at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, it’s West Ranch-Notre Dame at 9:30 a.m., followed by Harvard-Westlake-Simi Valley at 1:30 p.m.

Simi Valley returns its ace pitcher, Spencer Dubaich (9-0), and junior pitcher Matthew Campbell is ready for a breakout season. Catcher Dylan Alexander signed with Cal State Northridge.

Harvard-Westlake has one of the top junior players in California in pitcher-infielder Jack Flaherty, who signed with North Carolina. Outfielder Joe Corrigan signed with USC and catcher Arden Pabst signed with Georgia Tech. Notre Dame pitcher Jack Morello signed with Gonzaga. West Ranch returns senior pitcher Cody Bennett and sophomore shortstop Jagger Rusconi, a USC commit.
