Baseball: Chatsworth picks up two more transfers

November 14, 2012 |  8:35 pm

The off season is becoming very productive for the Chatsworth baseball program in terms of transfer students.

The latest arrivals are the Ryan brothers, Jake and Tyler, from Canyon Country Canyon. Jake is a junior catcher and Tyler a junior infielder. Canyon Coach Adam Schulhofer said both would have been varsity contributors.

They join recent transfers from Newhall Hart and Mission Hills Alemany. If all are eligible, Chatsworth would become the heavy favorite to win the City Section Division I championship, because they would join such key returnees from last year's finalist team as pitcher Jason Karkenny, first baseman Chris DeVito, outfielder Raul Camas, pitcher Nick Milone and infielder Sam Shaikin.
