The Conor Lynch Foundation run/walk is Sunday

The second annual 5K run/walk in honor of former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame cross country runner Conor Lynch will take place Sunday in Sherman Oaks.

Lynch was killed on Oct. 19, 2010, while crossing Woodman Avenue with his high school cross country teammates.

The event kicks off National Teen Driver Safety Week.

Last year, there were more than 1,500 participants.
