Sleep helps prevent injuries for prep athletes
A small study of teen athletes has found that athletes who slept eight or more hours a night were 68% less likely to be injured than those who regularly slept less.
Researches looked at information provided by a little more than 100 male and female athletes at Studio City Harvard-Westlake.
The findings were scheduled to be presented on Sunday at the American Academy of Pediatrics conference in New Orleans.
