Football: St. John Bosco leads at halftime

Bellflower St. John Bosco has used several big plays to take a 17-7 lead over Santa Ana Mater Dei at halftime of tonight's Trinity League showdown at Santa Ana Stadium.

Junior Reid Budrovich made a 46-yard field goal to give the Braves their first lead early in the second quarter, then Brett Baldwin returned a Mater Dei punt 74 yards for a touchdown with 44 seconds left in the half. St. John Bosco gets the ball first in the second half.

In other Trinity League games, Orange Lutheran and Santa Margarita are locked in a scoreless tie at halftime at Orange Coast College and Servite leads JSerra 14-0 at Saddleback College. 

In a key South Coast League contest, Tesoro is leading Mission Viejo 14-7 late in the first half.
