Football: Sights, sounds, food of Crenshaw-Dorsey game

I took the train to Friday night’s Coliseum League football game between Crenshaw and Dorsey at Rancho Cienega Park. It was an enjoyable experience.

From the Metro Red Line North Hollywood stop, transferring at the 7th Street station to the Expo Line and getting off at Expo/La Brea in front of Jackie Robinson Stadium took 55 minutes. No traffic. Air conditioning. No stress.

It’s a new way to enjoy high school football in the urban setting of Los Angeles. See my trip in the video above. And just watching made me hungry again for the tailgate food in the parking lot.
