Perhaps the Seattle Seahawks should move to Los Angeles, because there are plenty of the team’s players and coaches who grew up in the L.A. area.

Among the players are defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (Crenshaw), linebacker Malcolm Smith (Taft), cornerback Richard Sherman (Compton Dominguez) and cornerback Brandon Browner (Sylmar). On the practice squad is quarterback Josh Portis (Taft).

Then there sre the coaches. Pete Carroll was USC’s head coach. Assistant coaches are Ken Norton Jr. (Westchester) and Kenechi Udeze (Verbum Dei). Former Carson quarterback David Canales is a quality control coach. And Rocky Seto (Arcadia) helps coach defense.

It’s no wonder the Seahawks have a fan club in Los Angeles.
