The decision by West Adams to forfeit its final two games this season has left Crenshaw without a homecoming game. The Cougars were scheduled to play West Adams on Friday night.

Coach Robert Garrett said, ‘I’ll play anybody, any time, any place, anywhere.’

The Cougars (7-1) aren’t likely to find another opponent so quickly.

It has left alumni who made travel reservations to return to the area not too pleased.

West Adams (0-7) has cited lack of players for ending its season with two games to play.

‘We’re concerned for the school and safety of the kids and we’ll investigate,’ said John Aguirre, an assistant commissioner with the City Section.
