Football: L.A. Roosevelt takes charge of Eastern League

Gilbert Herrera scored three touchdowns and Guillermo Bazan and Erik Guerra each had interceptions to lead Los Angeles Roosevelt past South East, 40-34, in a game for first place in the Eastern League.

Roosevelt is 6-1 and 3-0 in league. Roosevelt put lots of pressure on South East quarterback Jonathan Santos and was able to disrupt the offense just enough to hold on for a victory.

Huntington Park picked up a 41-0 win over L.A. Jordan. Aaron Gutierrez and Adrian Lozano each scored two touchdowns rushing.
