Football: It's the season of quarterback Ian Fieber

Mission Viejo is 7-0 and has a junior quarterback in Ian Fieber who's making people think he's another Mark Sanchez.

Fieber, who didn't play much as a sophomore last season at Orange Lutheran, has completed 74% of his passes for 1,754 yards and 18 touchdowns.

"We've got a quarterback as good as any," Coach Bob Johnson said. "I wouldn't trade him for anybody."

Arm strength, accuracy, composure _ Fieber has been displaying all the qualities of a top quarterback. Now the Diablos are set for their toughest games in the South Coast League, starting Friday against Tesoro and then Nov. 2 against El Toro.
