Football: A tribute to mothers

October 31, 2012 |  9:08 pm

Two football players whose mothers died of breast cancer found a way last week to honor them with a moment that will be forever remembered.

Late in the football game between Corona Centennial and Eastvale Roosevelt, Centennial Coach Matt Logan put in a new quarterback, his daughter, Sami, a senior. On her second play, she completed an 18-yard pass to receiver Jordan Dye.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and both players lost their mothers to cancer.

Here's the link to the Riverside Press-Enterprise story on how it was pulled off.
