Baseball: Sophomores lead team to Arizona championship

A group of Southern California-based sophomore baseball players led their club team, the Pacific Baseball Academy, to the championship in the 58-team Arizona Sophomore Classic earlier this month.

Among the top contributors were left-handed pitcher Scott Christopherson from Santa Ana Foothill and catcher Sam Cohen from JSerra.

Top hitters were Ezra Steinberg from Harvard-Westlake and Jagger Rusconi from Valencia West Ranch.
