Baseball: Simi Valley players get into Halloween mood

They played an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday at Simi Valley High, where the baseball players dressed in their best Halloween costumes.

They were separated into Democrats and Republicans, with Simi Valley Coach Matt La Belle wearing a Mitt Romney mask and assistant coach Mark Miles playing President Obama. Similar to the close presidential election, the teams tied, 7-7.

But it wasn’t close on the winning costumes. The winners were sophomore Cole Nivens (Carl Fredricksen from the movie, ‘Up’), senior Wyatt Hogan (Richard Simmons) and senior Spencer Summers (Richard Simmons workout partner).

Just another wacky day in Simi Valley baseball.
