Keeping tabs: Colby Cameron

Former Newbury Park quarterback Colby Cameron, a senior at Louisiana Tech, has completed 70% of his passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns.

He was named the Western Athletic Conference offensive player of the week after completing 19 of 24 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns against Rice.

Louisiana Tech is 2-0 after wins over Houston and Rice.
