Football: Tight end Nick Lehman lifts St. John Bosco to victory

September 29, 2012 |  4:01 pm

Senior tight end Nick Lehman caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Josh Rosen on fourth down with 42 seconds left, and Reid Budrovich followed with the conversion kick to give Bellflower St. John Bosco a 34-33 victory over Sandy (Utah) Jordan on Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Rosen completed 21 of 30 passes for 277 yards and four touchdowns. Lehman earlier caught a 12-yard TD pass and finished with four receptions for 78 yards. Darren Walker rushed for 136 yards.

Brett Baldwin's interception with 19 seconds left sealed the victory for St. John Bosco (1-4), which had to forfeit four victories earlier this week because of an ineligible player.

Rosen drove the Braves down field with a 60-yard drive that started on the Braves' 40 with 2:39 left.

Arlandis Hinton had a 47-yard TD reception and AJ Holman had a nine-yard TD catch. Jaleel Wadood scored on a 15-yard run. Hinton finished with five catches for 75 yards. Holman had six catches for 83 yards.

St. John Bosco will open Trinity League play on Friday against Orange Lutheran.
