Football: St. John Bosco forfeits four victories because of ineligible player [Updated]

Bellflower St. John Bosco has forfeited its four victories this season after discovering an ineligible player.

The Braves will head to Utah this weekend for a game on Saturday with an 0-4 record.

St. John Bosco learned of the player's ineligiblity last week and self-reported to the Southern Section. The player had exhausted his athletic eligibility.

"This is something we as an institution take very seriously, our integrity," said first-year Principal Casey Yeazel. "My administration will do everything to prevent this from happening in the future. It's unfortunate for the family, for the player, for our team."

Loyola will be among the teams that pick up a victory, making the Cubs 5-0.
