West Hills Chaminade and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame could not ask for a better matchup to serve as a final tuneup for league play.

Chaminade (3-1) is led by its star running back Terrell Newby, who has rushed for 690 yards and nine touchdowns. The Eagles are ranked No. 23 in the Southland by The Times and begin Mission League play next week against 13th-ranked Gardena Serra in a game between two of the best teams in the Western Division. Chaminade’s only loss was to No. 16 Westlake Village Oaks Christian.
