Football: Newbury Park to retire jersey of Will Svitek

Newbury Park will retire the jersey of former receiver-defensive end Will Svitek before Friday’s homecoming game against Simi Valley Royal.

Svitek, who graduated in 2000 and played at Stanford, is an offensive lineman with the Atlanta Falcons. He’s missing the 2012 season because of an injury.
