Football: Brandon Dawkins leads Oaks Christian victory

There's a reason Brandon Dawkins is considered an elite junior quarterback in Southern California. He has made outstanding improvement from his sophomore season and showed it again on Saturday night, completing 20 of 25 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns in Oaks Christian's 48-13 victory over Granite Bay at Westlake.

Dawkins has cut down on his mistakes and looks comfortable and confident. His receivers also help. Francis Owusu caught six passes for 132 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown.

Sophomore Darick Holmes returned a fumble 96 yards for a touchdown and also ran 41 yards for a touchdown. Chris Davis scored two touchdowns.

Oaks Christian is 2-0.
