Anaheim Servite is off to a 1-2 start, causing some Servite fans to enter panic mode, particularly with the way the offense has looked.

Asked about his message to Servite fans, Thomas said, ‘Stick with us. Believe. Credo. I feel we can get there. I believe we’ll be a good team. I’ve never said we are a good team.’

Thomas said the offense made improvement over the last two weeks but there was little evidence during a 6-0 loss to Huntington Beach Edison.

‘I really like this team,’ he said. ‘They try hard. They’re getting better.’

Injuries have also slowed Servite’s progress on offense, but young players are rising up on defense, such as sophomore linebacker Jack Savage and freshman tackle Jotavi Leuta-Ulu (6 feet 2, 235 pounds).

Next up for Servite is Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.
