Boys’ basketball: Taft’s Anthony January is denied athletic eligibility

An attempt by Woodland Hills Taft center Anthony January to gain a fifth year of athletic eligibility was turned down by the City Section rules committee on Tuesday.

January, last season’s City player of the year, can appeal.
