Boys’ basketball: Fall league begins on Saturday

There were so many schools that wanted to participate in the L.A. fall basketball league that more sites needed to be added. Here’s the opening schedule for Saturday.

At Providence: Providence vs. Glendale, 9 a.m.; Harvard-Westlake vs. Pacific Hills, 10 a.m.; Loyola vs. Cantwell-Sacred Heart, noon; Campbell Hall vs. Buckley, 1 p.m.; Burbank vs. Cleveland, 3 p.m.; Sherman Oaks CES vs. Sun Valley Poly, 4 p.m.; Salesian vs. L.A. Marshall, 5 p.m.

At Alemany: Hart vs. Moorpark, 1 p.m.; Alemany vs. Royal, 3 p.m.; Chaminade vs. Brentwood, 4 p.m.; Granada Hills vs. Heritage Christian, 5 p.m.

At Pasadena: Eastside vs. AGBU, 10 a.m.; Eastside vs. Blair, 11 a.m.; AGBU vs. San Marino, noon; Pasadena Marshall vs. Arcadia, 1 p.m.; Pasadena vs. St. Francis, 3 p.m.; La Salle vs. Renaissance, 4 p.m.

At St. John Bosco: Fremont vs. St. John Bosco, 9 a.m.; St. John Bosco vs. Dominguez, 10 a.m.; South Gate vs. King Drew, 11 a.m.; Whittier vs. Long Beach Millikan, noon; Windward vs. Compton Centennial, 1 p.m.; Pioneer vs. Huntington Park, 2 p.m.
