Football: The ice bath is popular at Harvard-Westlake

With an excessive heat watch in effect, football teams are trying to find ways to help players stay productive during practice, and Studio City Harvard-Westlake is using the ice bath as a motivational tool.

About 1,000 pounds of ice is being used each day this week to help players recover from practice, and it has been so hot that no one is complaining about going into a freezing tub filled with water and ice.

They’ve also turned a few garbage cans into mini-ice baths.

It’s surprising some entrepreneur hasn’t started putting up ice bath tubs on Ventura Boulevard for a small rental fee.
