Football: St. Bonaventure leads 27-14 at halftime

Corona Centennial used its hurry-up offense to drive 80 yards in just 52 seconds, scoring on a three-yard touchdown pass from Robert Webber to Ryan Pascarella, pulling the Huskies within 27-14 of host Ventura St. Bonaventure at halftime.

St. Bonaventure quarterback Ricky Town has thrown for 272 yards and two touchdowns and has rushed for another score. Zach Green has 86 yards and one touchdown in 15 carries for the Seraphs.

Webber, making his first varsity start, is 9 of 14 for 85 yards and Austin Renken has rushed seven times for 56 yards for the Huskies, who are trying to avenge a 29-27 loss in last season’ opener.
