Football: Scrimmages set for Friday

There will be lots of scrimmages held on Friday, and one of the most intriguing will be Westlake Village Oaks Christian playing at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame at 6 p.m.

The last time these two schools met on the football field, there was a summer brawl during the Saugus passing tournament.

I doubt the players will be holding hands and singing, "Kumbaya," but the fighting had better be done with. Saugus and Antelope Valley are also part of the four-way scrimmage.

Etiwanda is playing at Long Beach Poly, Compton at Narbonne and Orange Lutheran is facing Long Beach Jordan at Orange Coast College, among others. Alemany is at Thousand Oaks. L.A. Cathedral is at Venice at 4:30 p.m.
