Andre Chevalier Jr., a sophomore linebacker and the son of the former Oaks Christian basketball coach, had eight tackles Friday night in helping the Lions defeat Del Oro, 40-0, on the road in the debut of new Coach Jeff Woodruff.
Chris Davis rushed for 93 yards and scored a touchdown. Darick Holmes rushed for 77 yards and scored a touchdown. Brandon Dawkins completed 12 of 17 passes for 130 yards.
Another Marmonte League school, St. Bonaventure, cruised to a 48-0 victory over Garfield. Moorpark defeated West Ranch, 31-0.
