South Gate is 2-0 under first-year Coach Jose Casagran after a 42-7 victory over Santee.
Jesus Sosa had three touchdowns and three sacks. Eddie Flores completed 12 of 16 passes for 228 yards and one touchdown. Alexander Flatos rushed for 125 yards in four carries.
Next up is a tough test against Locke.
