Some colleges like to schedule games in the home towns of their athletes so they can have a homecoming of sorts.

At Mission Hills Alemany, the Warriors have been getting so many athletes from the Pasadena area that scheduling Pasadena and Muir is similar to letting its players enjoy a reunion with former teammates from youth days.

Alemany opens its season against Pasadena on the road, then hosts Muir.

Among the Alemany players from Pasadena are receivers Steven Mitchell, Devin Ross and DeSean Holmes. Imagine what Pasadena or Muir might be like if players stuck with their neighborhood schools.

Past Alemany players from the Pasadena area include quarterback Vernon Adams, running back Malcolm Marable and lineman Akeem Gonzalez.
