Football: Hayden Rettig makes return a winning one for Cathedral

August 26, 2012 |  9:41 am

Turmoil and confusion reigned last season at L.A. Cathedral after the Phantoms lost quarterback Hayden Rettig to a torn ACL injury.

So understand the excitement getting back a healthy Rettig on Friday in a season opener against Locke. Rettig completed 19 of 43 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in a 29-20 victory.

Da'Mari Scott caught five passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns from Rettig, who is committed to LSU.
