Football: Dorsey picks up receiver Josh Hill from St. Bernard

August 15, 2012 |  7:15 am

Perhaps the No. 1 returning player from Playa del Rey St. Bernard, receiver Josh Hill, has transferred to Los Angeles Dorsey, Coach Paul Knox said Wednesday.

St. Bernard announced it has dropped its varsity football program, which should allow players to become eligible immediately when approved for a hardship by the section commissioner.

Hill's arrival will be a big boost for Dorsey. He caught 62 passes for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior. Dorsey returns quarterback Reginald Bell, a Tulane commit.

Dorsey scrimmages San Pedro on Saturday at 10 a.m. at San Pedro.
