Football: City Section coaches set for mandatory concussion training

There will be no practice allowed among City Section teams on Monday, Aug. 20, because all football coaches are required to attend a mandatory concussion training program at Bernstein High School from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Schools will be allowed to practice on Tuesday that week after professional development occurs. Lots of schools are opening their season on Friday, Aug. 24.

The concussion training program was approved by the superintendent's office of the Los Angeles Unified School District, so coaches had better attend the meeting.
