He was a straight-A student and All-City player who had to decide his college choice after his mother was hospitalized and fell into a coma following a heart attack in December.

A funeral will be held on Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at The Living Room, part of the Faithful Central Bible Church, 400 West Florence Ave. in Inglewood. Lucille is survived by Jeremiah, daughter, Mary, and youngest son, Terry.
