The Los Angeles Unified School District appears to have placed Granada Hills Kennedy baseball Coach Manny Alvarado in an ‘undisclosed location.’

At least LAUSD is not saying where Alvarado has gone.

‘Due to confidentiality and privacy laws, we are not at liberty to discuss,’ said LAUSD spokeswoman Gayle Pollard-Terry on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Alvarado didn’t show up to the first day of classes. Principal Suzanne Blake said Alvarado had been reassigned by the district. He has been Kennedy’s baseball coach for 24 years and also served as a counselor and P.E. teacher.

Parents have called for a protest rally in front of the school for Thursday morning from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

I just want someone from LAUSD to tell me what’s happened to Alvarado. It’s a simple request and something that Kennedy alumni and parents want to know, too.

Update: Alvarado returned a phone call on Wednesday but declined comment. A gag order appears to be in effect for everyone. Just another day in LAUSD.
