The arms race continues to heat up in high school basketball, with one top school after another picking up transfer students.

But no school has benefited more than Bellflower St. John Bosco. On Thursday, Coach Derrick Taylor confirmed that highly touted sophomore guard Tyler Dorsey of Ribet Academy is transferring to St. John Bosco.

He’ll join what could be an all-transfer starting five, led by the Hamilton brothers, Daniel and Isaac, who arrived last year from Crenshaw. Then there’s Darien Williams from Orange Lutheran, Jason and Jordan Dallas from Long Beach Millikan and Devin Burleson from Las Vegas.

Long Beach Poly, expected to be the No. 1 team in Southern California, also has its share of transfers. Ditto for defending state Division III champion Mission Hills Alemany.

The transfers have been going on all summer and don’t seem ready to stop.
