Boys’ basketball: Ex-Alemany player is at Providence

Malik Anderson, a 6-foot-7 sophomore who played as a freshman for Alemany’s state Division III championship team, is now attending Burbank Providence, Coach Ernest Baskerville said.

Considering that Providence returns sophomore guard Marcus LoVett Jr., one of the top freshmen in Southern California last season, Anderson’s addition helps make the Pioneers an intriguing small schools team to watch.
