Baseball: Troy Percival applies for Moreno Valley job

Former Angels reliever Troy Percival has applied to become the baseball coach at Moreno Valley High, his alma mater, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

He pitched for 14 years in the majors. If he's hired, maybe Moreno Valley can play Calabasas in a nonleague game. Calabasas' first-year coach is former reliever Rob Dibble.

The two coaches could get on the mound and show everyone how to pitch.
