Former Angels reliever Troy Percival has applied to become the baseball coach at Moreno Valley High, his alma mater, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

He pitched for 14 years in the majors. If he’s hired, maybe Moreno Valley can play Calabasas in a nonleague game. Calabasas’ first-year coach is former reliever Rob Dibble.
