Baseball: Alemany gets top sophomore transfer

Ruben Cardenas, a sophomore outfielder who started as a freshman at Saugus High, has transferred to Alemany.

The Warriors also picked up Terrell Tate, a junior infielder from Chaminade who didn't play last season.

They add to the talent in the Mission League, where Loyola, Harvard-Westlake, Crespi, Chaminade, Notre Dame and the Warriors all figure to be battling for one of the four guaranteed playoff spots in Division I.
