Football: Culver City receiver Julius Wilson can play with anybody

Top receivers find a way to separate themselves at seven-on-seven passing competitions. The 6-foot-2 Julius Wilson of Culver City is one of those receivers.

He was like a man playing among boys on Tuesday night at Santa Fe Springs St. Paul in a competition involving Culver City, St. Paul, Lakewood and Dominguez.

He runs routes with precision and has a burst of speed and power that can leave defensive backs with a helpless feeling.

He caught 55 passes for 847 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. Culver City needs to find ways to get him the ball as much as possible in 2012.
