Baseball: Palos Verdes, Mira Costa reach South Bay final

It will be Palos Verdes taking on Mira Costa on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Marine Park in the championship game of the South Bay Summer Baseball League.

Palos Verdes defeated Banning, 5-2, in a nine-inning semifinal. Mark Karmelich threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts. Mira Costa upset Torrance, 7-3. Kevin Lopez threw a complete game.
